Gifu City in Japan

This is a workshop where participants engage in dialogue about disaster preparedness while transcending differences in nationality and culture, to think together about community-based disaster prevention. “NICE” is a program developed by Associate Professor Akiyoshi Kikuchi of Meisei University, who was involved in multilingual support for disaster response during the Great East Japan Earthquake. For this session, we are pleased to welcome Professor Kikuchi as the instructor to conduct the workshop in person. The language used will be Easy Japanese. People of all nationalities are welcome to participate.

Date & Time: Saturday, March 14, 2026, 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Venue: Gifu City Hall, 12th Floor, Training Room 1
Who Can Join?:Japanese people who live, work, or study in Gifu City and are interested in helping foreign residents in times of disaster Foreign residents in Gifu City, such as international students, technical intern trainees, and people attending community Japanese language classes
Participation Fee: Free
Capacity: 30 participants (15 Japanese participants / 15 International Residents participants)
